We had the good fortune of connecting with Latoya Nicole and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Latoya, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always had a strong desire for independence and the freedom to work on my own terms. My vision was to create a space of serenity, in a spa like ambience of luxurious pampering and personal attentiveness. Where our core values are community over competition. That’s when Bare Twelve 27 was born!
What should our readers know about your business?
I am proud of my perseverance and dedication of creating a known household brand throughout a rural community.
It absolutely was not an easy journey. There were many sleepless nights, tears and trials and errors. With staying consistent and determined I never accepted failure as an option.
Being an entrepreneur is not for the faint of heart. I’ve learned that sometimes you have to be your own supporter, because in the beginning people saw my vision as only a dream.
I wanted to create a unique and meaningful brand identity; therefore, I married my birth month and day into my business creating Bare Twelve 27.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mentor, Chauntae Hammonds. Owner of Wax Snob Studios located in San Antonio, TX.
I would like to applaud her patience and guidance throughout the early developmental stages of Bare Twelve 27.
